Are there Benefits to Fluoride-Free Toothpaste?
When you live life on the road, it's even more important to choose carefully what products you bring with you.
Over the past few months I’ve been sharing some of my favorite natural products that will help you remove harmful chemicals from your daily routine, and still get the same gorgeous results you're looking for when it comes to beauty and self care!
Let’s Talk Toothpaste.
Y'all, I thought this was going to be a pretty easy video to make. I mean, we all know Fluoride is bad for you, right?! Turns out there is a lot of important information on both sides of the Fluoride Toothpaste dilemma.
In today’s video you’ll learn
• Why Fluoride is in toothpaste
• Why you might want to find an alternative
• What toothpaste I've chosen to keep my pearly whites healthy for life on the road!
Let’s Dive a Bit Deeper Here! Are there OTHER chemicals you should avoid in your toothpaste? YEP! Read those labels, Y’all!
2 Chemicals to avoid in your Toothpaste:
#1: Sodium Lauryl Sulfates (SLS detergents) create suds in toothpaste and other body care products, but are also identified as carcinogens, linked to cancer, liver damage, and skin rashes.
#2: Triclosan: Research shows that Triclosan can help avoid gingivitis. However, this chemical has also been show to create antibiotic resistance issues and disrupt the endocrine system.
And that’s just 2 of them. A quick google search will help you check any other chemicals you find on the ingredients list of your toothpaste.
Turns out these chemicals are in a LOT of self care products. Over the years I’ve cut out as many chemicals as humanly possible, from my morning routine to my make-up routine to my cleaning supplies, and the list goes on. It’s just not worth it when I think of how valuable my hormone balance and my thyroid health are, not to mention all the others aspects of physics, mental, and emotional health. I’m determined to stay above the line of wellness.
